Breach (aka Ben Westbeech) (Dirtybird)

Breach is the DJ/producer alter-ego of the multi-talented musician Ben Westbeech, recently releasing on Claude VonStroke's dirtybird label.

From the age of five Ben started playing music and singing. He was brought up initially on Classical music, before getting into Rock n Roll, Hip Hop, Jazz and Jungle. In 2001 Ben moved to Bristol with the sole intention of making music and was soon signed by Gilles Peterson to his label Browswood Recordings. In 2007 Brownswood Records released Ben Westbeech's debut Album 'Welcome To The Best Years Of Your Life', leading to tours of the world both as a live act and as a DJ at prestigious events and clubs including Summer Sonic (Japan), Glastonbury, The End, Cielo (New York), Fabric, Yellow (Japan), The Jools Holland Show (TV), Pardiso (Amsterdam), Pacha (Ibiza and Moscow), Ku de Ta (Bali) and Mercati Generali (Italy) amongst many others.

Then in 2010 his debut Breach 12" dropped on PTN, the awesome 'Fatherless' which following on from support from the likes of Jackmaster & Skream was voted #13 in Resident Advisor's Tracks Of The Year and "rinsed and thoroughly wringed by every DJ spanning dubstep, funky & everything in between".

In 2011 BrEaCh released massive remixes for the likes of Crazy P, Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, Photek, DJ Cra$y and also of his own (Ben Westbeech) track 'Something For The Weekend'.

Back in November he made his Nottingham debut at dollop's sold out event (alongside Jamie Jones and Julio Bashmore), where he showed his impressive prowess behind the decks.

For an idea of what to expect from his set at Stealth Vs Rescued you could do no better than to listen to his mix for Boiler Room:

With future releases planned on Dirtybird, Redlight's 'Lobster Boy' and Catz N Dogz's 'Pets Records'; and collaborations with Midland, T Williams & Eats Everything - 2012 is looking like a very very big year for BrEaCh.
