RAF DADDY (The 2 Bears) - DJ Set

The 2 Bears are a London based musical duo formed in 2009 by Raf Rundell and Joe Goddard. South Londoner Raf 'Daddy' Rundell was a record label A&R, club promoter, radio host, artist manager & DJ; whilst Joe Goddard was a producer, remixer, solo artist and one-fifth of critically acclaimed Indie-Electro outfit Hot Chip. After numerous meetings in DJ booths the pair soon realised their shared enthusiasm for house music and made vague plans for a musical collaboration.

So began several months of hanging out, making music ‘for the fun of it’ and ‘portamental’ arguments about obscure synths, that would wind up forming the 'Follow The Bears EP'.

Characterised by the hitherto untapped vocal stylings of Raf himself (Joe: ‘I didn’t know Raf could actually sing!’), the Bears have already received radio support from Annie Mac, Rob da Bank, Giles Peterson, Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Greg James, Huw Stephens, Nick Grimshaw and Toddla T.

Thier first EP 'Follow The Bears' was released in early 2010 on Fatboy Slim's 'Southern Fried Records', and featured the track 'Be Strong':

This release was soon followed by the 'Curious Nature EP' (featuring the track 'Church') and remixes for the likes of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Junior Boys, Santigold, Toddla T & Wiley. The 2 Bears debut full length LP 'Be Strong' dropped at the start of 2012, and included the anthemic 'Bear Hug' featuring Raf's infectious vocoded baritone vocals:
