Saturday 29th March, 2014

Voted 'Nottingham's Best Club Night'
Every Saturday at Stealth & The Rescue Rooms

NYTA hails not from the Big Apple, but from Bristol, UK. His real name is Mensah Anderson, who is also the seasoned producer that you probably know simply as Mensah. The NYTA guise focuses on being a fresh outlet for his 120 – 130bpm 80′s Electro, House & Techno influenced tracks & creations.

The ‘New York Transit Authority’ name was first adopted for a split 12″ release with Conqueror (Redlight) on Redlight’s Lobster Boy label in 2011. His side was a slinky, 808 house number entitled ‘Off The Traxx’, which deservedly found its way into FACT’s 50 best tracks of the year & was caned by a wide range of top DJs across the globe. The track that really put his stamp on the music scene however, is undoubtedly '95,' which has been tearing apart dancefloors all over the country.

South London based Deadboy came to prominence with his own production sound fused from elements of garage, house, techno, RnB, bassline and many other rich seams of underground and overground music. Since then his productions have gone on to incorporate everything from disco and boogie to jungle, and his eclectic DJ sets, often playing mostly vinyl, are no different.

Deadboy has performed all over the world, touring America and Australia and performing at festivals such as Sonar, Primavera, South by South West and Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, with many more to come.
