2014 is set to be a game-changing year for up-and-coming Benton who, drawing on his many years of experience and influences, producing some of the most innovative beats in the business.

Over the years Benton has earned support from bass-weight heavyweights including N-Type, Skream, Benga and Youngsta amongst others. Developing his bone-shaking sound, Benton's increasingly influenced by the jungle and hardcore sound which he grew up on. Embracing these diverse genres sees him shaking up his work with a fresh noise which has already been endorsed by the likes of Loefah, Klose One & Artwork, and seen him feature on dollop line up's alongside Swamp81 label peers.

His technical prowess and commitment to a sound that is deep and dirty means that Benton is set to continue to keep the raves moving with his sound.

BENTON will be hosted by NOVELIST.

Billon was formed by London based producers Ed Butler and Robbie Lamond at the start of 2013. Their first productions they uploaded to Soundcloud - ‘Turn It Around’ and ‘Hurt Me’ - were quickly discovered and supported by Skream on BBC Radio 1. Combining cutting edge production with many pieces of classic analogue equipment, Billon create a sound that both nods to the past and looks to the future of electronic music, drawing influence from classic house, techno and UK garage.

Their debut EP was released via Rinse in July 2013 and added Mistajam (BBC Radio 1/1Xtra), EZ, Bondax, Dusky and Simon Dunmore to their list of supporters; while the lead track ‘Hurt Me’ landed in the Beatport Deep House Chart. In the same month Annie Mac selected their collaboration with Yasmin - a reworking of Whitney Houston’s song ‘Thinking About You’ - for a ‘Free Music Monday’, clocking up over 70,000 streams on Soundcloud as well becoming a favourite on the Eton Messy YouTube channel.

Billon are also chalking up an impressive run of remixes, having recently reworked Clean Bandit (Atlantic) and Joel Compass (Polydor / Black Butter), with more ready to drop in the coming weeks and months.

With a brand new EP due for release later in the year and some high profile collaborations in the pipeline, the next 12 months look set to be exciting times for Billon in both the UK and further afield.

While the grime revival of late seems to have been mostly highlighting up-and-coming producers, promising new grime MCs have been scarce. One of the names who has been all over the airwaves recently, however, is London’s teenage prodigy Novelist – a 17-year old rapper and producer with an eerily slick delivery. He rides effortlessly over a wide array of styles and patterns, and has a keen ear for musical innovations, whether it’s in his solo work or with his Lewisham crew, The Square.

He features on a forthcoming track with Mumdance and is currently working with Jamie XX. Having recently been added to the Outlook festival roster we can be sure to expect his name to blow up this year.
