Salary Boy

"Stockholm transplant Salary Boy, aka Otto, lives a double life in London. By day he’s just a desk jockey like everyone else, but at night he becomes the Salary Boy – a bonafide party machine with a penchant for fever-pitched house feelings.

Having spent his formative years in Manchester – the cultural heartland of UK rave history – Otto graduated business school and djing the Manchester circuit, to wearing a suit to work and producing guaranteed floor-fillers. With a steady release of infectious mixtapes, Otto was selling out headline shows around the country before his first record was even released, showing this young producer and DJ is definitely about to blow.

His recently landed debut EP on Shadow City Records has received heavy support from close friend Mall Grab and is already a guaranteed sell-out with over half of the stock gone on pre-orders alone. Equally anticipated releases on Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs, and Polish imprint Astropical Tapes, won’t last long either.

A natural party lover and keen record digger, Salary Boy’s cheerful character is reflected in his uplifting house sets. Spinning tunes both old and new, Otto’s fondness for throwing in the unexpected ensures that even the most downbeat club-dwellers break into dance.

Between lighting up pan-european dancefloors, Salary Boy can be found in the booth at Netil Radio each month running the Steel City Dance Discs show with labelmate Loods, or planning the next Mutual Trust party.

With some soaring releases locked for 2018, Salary Boy is most certainly worthy of your attention."
